OCIA: Becoming Catholic

Becoming Catholic

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA)

Joining OCIA does not automatically commit you to becoming Catholic. It begins as an inquiry into the Catholic faith. Some students join to learn more about the faith, which is systematically explained throughout the school year.

The OCIA is designed to receive such students and is open to anyone in the college community who has:

  • Not been baptized
  • Been away from the Church for a period of time and would like to   come back
  • Been baptized but haven’t received their first communion
